Sabatti Saphire: the multipurpose hunting rifle
The Sabatti SAPHIRE (Sabatti All Purpose Hunting Italian Rifle) is a hunting rifle with a sober design and surprising features.
The rifle adopts the Sabatti Saphire action, a different action than the traditional Rover action. The bolt has three tenons, characterized by excellent smoothness and is housed inside a breech box made of Ergal 55, a high-strength aluminum that offers lightness and strength at the same time. The action is also equipped with an integral Picatinny rail, for easy mounting of sight optics.
The steel barrel is cold hammered, with Sabatti MRR multi-radial rifling which guarantees excellent shooting accuracy and durability of the barrel itself.
The muzzle is made as standard with a thread 1/2UNF and relative thread cover ring, to allow the assembly of a possible muzzle brake.
One of the main features of the Sabatti Saphire rifle is the possibility of interchanging the barrels, purchasing them separately, in different calibers: the replacement of the barrel can be carried out with a few simple tools by an expert gunsmith, but depending on the caliber chosen it may be necessary to replace also the bolt head and the magazine.
